Why is the former Edwardian loo-turned nightclub Ginglik still closed and derelict?

In 2021 an appplication for planning permission was put in for a change of use, the change of use being from a nightclub to a restaurant.  

Permission was for this granted by LBHF (who own the site) in September 2021, but since then nothing has happened. 

The former Ginglik site occupies a long-neglected corner of Shepherd's Bush Green, which has become a site for rubbish dumping and rough sleeping.  Surely something can be done to find a use for this most central location in Shepherd's Bush? A new restaurant would be good news - if it can be pulled off.

The former Ginglik nightclub on Shepherd's Bush Green has put in an appplication for planning permission (note that you may have to log in to the LBHF site to see the details).

The application is for a change of use, from a nightclub to a restaurant.

This surely good news for this long-neglected corner of Shepherd's Bush Green.

There may be some good news at at last for much-neglected Shepherd's Bush Green.

The site formerly occupied by Ginglik, the Edwardian loo-turned-nightclub that closed a decade ago, has applied for planning permission to re-open as a restaurant. 

The application states as follows: 
"2020/02747/FUL | Use of the lower ground floor level of the premises to serve hot food (Class E) ancillary to the existing bar/nightclub. | Ginglik Club On The Green 1 Shepherd's Bush Green London W12 8PH".

There may be some good news at at last for much-neglected Shepherd's Bush Green.

The site formerly occupied by Ginglik, the Edwardian loo-turned-nightclub that closed a decade ago, may have a new tenant in the New Year.

Thanks to Councillor Matt Thorley, who has pressed LBHF on our behalf for an answer on why the site has been derelict for so long, it appears that a new tenant will soon be moving in.

There may be some good news at at last for the much-neglected East corner of Shepherd's Bush Green.

The site formerly occupied by Ginglik, the Edwardian loo-turned-nightclub that closed a few years back, may have a new tenant.

LBHF have apparently been marketing the property, ending on thursday 6 December, and "offers have been received".
