Bush Hall Needs Your Help

Help Save Music at Bush Hall from Bush Hall on Vimeo.

Bush Hall needs your help. Bush Hall is an independent music and events venue in Shepherd's Bush, which is currently "in grave danger of losing its unique live music facility". The owners of Bush Hall, Charlie Raworth and Emma Hutchinson, have launched a crowdfunder appeal at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/help-save-music-at-bush-hall, hoping to raise £40,000 to secure the future of Bush Hall.

Westfield Sparkles But No Lights for The Bush

Westfield sparkles
Once again this Christmas, Westfield sparkles, but there are no Christmas decorations on the shopping streets around Shepherd's Bush Green.

Every year, Westfield puts on a display of light and colour, while Shepherd's Bush Green and the surrounding streets are left with nothing at all.

Even though local businesses pay business rates for local services, our Council appear unable to hang any Christmas decorations in our shopping streets.

Our Council Has No Money? Here's The Solution

Cupid Delivering Pysche (1867) by Burne-Jones.
Not on display.
Our local Council, The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, continually tells us that they have no money, and they blame the Government's austerity policies for the lack of cash. So why not sell a few valuable assets to help protect vital services?

The Council owns the fifty-four works in the Cecil French Collection, donated to Fulham Borough Council in 1953, including pre-Raphaelite paintings by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, and Frederic Leighton

The art isn't on display, and there are no plans to show it. So what's the point of keeping it? Better surely to sell it, and release funds for local services.
