Tube Strike on the Central Line on Friday

Central Line is on strike on Friday
London Underground station staff on the Central Line are to go on strike on Friday.

The strike is scheduled to start just after midnight, lasting 24 hours.

To see the full story, read the Evening Standard report.

What's the strike about? Who knows? Public safety? Working conditions? TFL drivers get paid almost £50k a year as a starting salary, plus 43 days off a year. Which is nice work if you can get it.  Except you can't, because it's a closed shop.

To cheer yourself up, watch the London Underground song below:

And, to imagine a utopian vision of the future with no drivers, and no strikes - follow this link. Think it'll actually happen? Not if TFL employees have anything to do with it.
