Why is Shepherd's Bush Green still such a mess? Right now the western end of Shepherd's Bush Green feels like a gypsy encampment of weird camouflage fencing, chain link and portaloos. 

Around this dystopian architecture squats a semi-permanent encampment of drunks and derelicts, who sit in a fog of a marijuana smoke amid a litter of Jack Daniels bottles and general detritus. 

They stare at passers by with vague menace in their eyes, while the Shepherd's Bush Crack Lady drifts around looking for someone to spit at. 

Save Shepherd's Bush Green

Local residents have raised a petition to clean up Uxbridge Road, one of our neighbourhood's main East-West arteries. But maybe we need a petition to Save Shepherd's Bush Green?

Surely, Shepherd's Bush, we can do better than this?
