High Tech Autos - Best Garage in The Bush?

High Tech Autos - best garage in the Bush?
Where do you take your car to get fixed in Shepherd's Bush? When I first moved to the area in 2011, I had no local knowledge and no idea where to go - until I stumbled across a post written by Chris Underwood, author of the original Shepherd's Bush Blog.  Chris recommended High Tech Autos, a small garage run by Keith, under the arches next to Shepherd's Bush market tube station. And guess what? Chris is absolutely right - Keith's garage is exactly what everyone with a car to fix is looking for.

Under the arches
Keith's garage isn't much to look at - it's tucked in under the arches of the Hammersmith and City line, in a back street alley that runs just north of the Uxbridge Road, and looks like it could use a lick of paint.  His landlord is TFL - the same folks who have caused controversy by re-developing Shepherd's Bush Market just to the south of the Uxbridge Road.

Find Keith just north of the Uxbridge Road
Keith does excellent work, charges a reasonable fee, and best of all - he doesn't do work that isn't necessary. Plus, he tells great stories about Shepherd's Bush.  Keith has been in the area many years, and seen many changes - his garage is part of what makes our neighbourhood special, and gives it character.

And luckily for him (and his customers), TFL have no plans to turn his garage into a giant shopping mall.

For now.
