Who and what is affected?
Only the Tube - not National Rail overground services. The Central Line, Circle Line and Hammersmith & City Lines will all be down.
What about the Overground?
Business as usual.

Buses will run normally.
What is the strike about?
Money. ASLEF members on London Underground have voted for strike action in a dispute over pay rates and rosters. This latest dispute has been caused by the switch to 24 hour weekend operation later this year. They say that tube drivers will have to work an unlimited number of weekend and night shifts for no extra pay. They also say that TFL management are attempting to force through the new rosters without negotiation.
Did the ASLEF members vote in favour?
Yes. ASLEF say that 98% of their members voted yes, on a turnout of 81.3%.
What about the other Tube Unions?
The RMT and the TSSA are also considering industrial action.
How does this affect us in Shepherd's Bush?
London will likely become gridlocked as the tube shuts down. Traffic will be much worse than usual and buses, though they will run, will get stuck in traffic. The Overland system will be running, but if that does not help then our top tip is get yourself an inexpensive used bike and cycle in to work that day.
