Anti-Social Behaviour Getting Worse in Shepherd's Bush?

Public drinking in Caxton Village
What can be done about the ongoing anti-social behaviour in Shepherd's Bush?

Jonathan Pearl, Chair of the Friends of Shepherd's Bush Green (FOSBG) recently posted about the growing problem of public drunkenness and anti-social behaviour that many believe is getting worse around Shepherd's Bush Green.

Anti-Social Behaviour
Recently the problem seems to have been focused around "Caxton Village" - the residential area just south of Westfield and north of the Uxbridge Road, including Bulwer Street and Sterne Street.  Local residents report drug dealing, alcohol-abuse, car break-ins. burglary, thefts from doorsteps, fireworks being let off late at night, assault - and even a kidnapping.

Funfair to Blame?
Many people in Caxton Village are convinced this is because the George Irvine FunFair has pushed the problem of public drinking off the Green and into their streets and front gardens.  Much of this activity has been captured on home CCTV cameras (see above).  The Police are looking into what's going on here - to understand the spike in crime, but clearly something needs to be done.
