New Playground at Paddington Rec

Ocean liner at Paddington Rec
Parents in Shepherd's Bush looking for great play spaces for their children have lots to celebrate lately.

The new playground at Paddington Recreation Ground ("Paddington Rec") is a great playground for kids, complete with a play ocean liner, a zip wire, and even a row of London-style terraced houses.

Paddington Rec also has easy parking (free on weekends), useful Tube access (Maida Vale, on the Bakerloo Line)  and a good cafe with pizza and all the trimmings.

Other improvements have come to our neighbourhood lately, such as the excellent playground at Hammersmith Park, which got a long-awaited upgrade earlier this year.

The new playground is a huge improvement on what was there before and, coupled with the new Japanese lanterns, and the regeneration of TV Centre, has turned Hammersmith Park into a very attractive place to spend time.

A short walk from Shepherd's Bush is Holland Park, which also has a shiny new adventure playground, a fabulous new playscape for kids.
