Ceilidh at St Simon's Brook Green on Jan 25th

St Simon's Church in Brook Green is hosting a family-friendly Ceilidh at the church on Saturday, 25 January from 6pm - 8.30pm.

Saturday night is of course Burn's Night - a night of whiskey, haggis and dancing which is pretty much compulsory north of the border and well worth celebrating down south, whether you're Scottish or - like me - Scot-ish.

Scottish Ceilidh
Scottish Ceilidh at St Simon's Brook Green
The event is an annual family-friendly Scottish ceilidh held at St Simon's - free to all, with food and dancing and a vicar in a kilt! Invite your friends and neighbours and come along on Saturday January 25 from 6pm to 8:30pm.

Food and soft drinks
Free food and soft drinks are served, but as it's a family event there is no alcohol. Haggis also is off the menu.

Beginners are welcome
Beginners are welcome - the dances are all called so you don't need to be an expert - or indeed any good at dancing all.  A ceilidh, in case you don't know, is an informal Scotting dance; serving up dollops of easy-to-learn favourites like Strip the Willow

Where and when
St Simon's Church in Brook Green. Saturday January 25 from 6pm to 8:30pm. Address Rockley Road, London W14 0DA
