Have Your Say on the Saturation Zone

Make
Cumulative Impact Saturation Zone - should it be re-instated?
sure to have your say on the renewal of our local licensing policy
. The consultation by our council ends at the end of June, so now is the time to let LBHF have your views.

Why does this matter? Because the Saturation Zone, which for a decade prevented the opening of late night bars, has expired, allowing bars and fast food joints to open late in Shepherd's Bush.

Shepherd's Bush Saturation Zone Expires

Cumulative Impact Saturation Zone
Recently LBHF ran a consultation over the continuation of the so-called "Shepherd's Bush Saturation Zone", the special licensing policy created by our Council in 2010 to restrict the expansion of licensed premises in an area which was already "saturated" with places to eat and drink, especially late at night.

The policy was an attempt by the Council to keep crime and disorder in Shepherd's Bush under control, but it appears that the Policy has now officially expired.

Cumulative Impact Saturation Zone
What is the Shepherd's Bush Saturation Zone? Most residents of Shepherd's Bush have probably never heard of it, or have the faintest idea what it means. But it is important, and it does matter.  The Shepherd's Bush Saturation Zone is a special licensing policy which was created by the Council in 2010 to restrict the expansion of licensed premises in an area which was already "saturated" with places to drink. In short, it was an attempt by the Council to keep booze in the Bush under control. So how does it actually work?
