Macfarlane Road Residents' Association Meeting 7 May

Mark your calendars - the Macfarlane Road Residents' Association is back, and meeting up again on 7th May.

The Macfarlane Rd Residents's Assocation is a local residents' group that gathers quarterly in Shepherd's Bush to try and improve our local neighbourhood. We work with the Council and the police to try to make improvements to the sort of problems that confront local residents, such as parking and anti-social behaviour. If you're a local and you'd like to get involved, come along and have your say.

What's this all about?
Getting local stuff done. The Macfarlane Road Residents' Association gathers quarterly in Shepherd's Bush to try and improve our local neighbourhood.

How do we make things better?
Macfarlane Road Residents' Association, like most residents' associations, works with the Council and the police to represent the views of local people, and try to make the local neighbourhood a better place to live. We try to do more than just complain - we find positive, constructive solutions for problems like parking, anti-social behaviour, and other local difficulties. We work on the principle that our local council is staffed by fundamentally decent people who genuinely want to help improve the area, but don't always know what local residents want or need.  Our job is to help them to help us.

If you live locally, chances are you got the October 2018 newsletter in hard copy pushed through your door. If you missed it, you can read the local news below.

What exactly do we do?
Macfarlane Road Residents' Association works with the Council and the police on licensing issues, helping to make sure that local licensed premises are good neighbours. We meet quarterly, approximately every three months, usually in the evenings, and generally for no more than an hour. After all, people are busy, and no-one likes long meetings.

The next meeting is on Tuesday 7th May, probably in the library at the Bush Theatre. If you live locally and you would like to get involved, email secretary Alexander Williams at shepherdsbushblog@gmail.com. All residents are encouraged to attend meetings and share their concerns. You genuinely can make a difference.
