The old tennis courts had deteriorated badly and were prone to flooding, collecting mud and debris in wet weather.
New Tennis Courts
There are two newly resurfaced tennis courts and also a newly refurbished basketball court. The new courts are a welcome addition to what is slowly becoming a very impressive local resource. Hammersmith Park has long boasted one of London's very few Japanese Gardens; now it has bookable all-weather football pitches, a new outdoor gym, a refurbished playground - and now shiny new tennis courts.
Open to Everyone
The tennis courts are open to all, meaning that you can just turn up and play. Unlike most tennis courts in our Borough, there is no need to book ahead.
