LBHF Consultation on Funfairs on 23rd October

Shepherd's Bush Green plays host to a number of fun fairs at various times of year, but not everyone is delighted. Many local residents object to the noise and disturbance, and the mess that is created.

So it's surely good news that our council, LBHF, is organizing public meeting at the town hall on 23rd October. If you'd like your voice to be heard, come along and have your say.

The LBHF Events team will be there to respond to residents' concerns, especially after this past summer when the Green saw 31 uninterrupted days of funfair, which ran against the Council's own guidelines.

What's this all about?
LBHF  are holding a meeting on Monday 23 October at 6.30pm at Hammersmith Town Hall and all are welcome. The meeting should last around 90 minutes. The meeting is "a chance for residents to hear about the events being planned over the coming months and to tell LBHF what types of events people would like to see and those that they would not."

Why have funfairs at all?
It's all about the money. According to LBHF: "Organising events on Shepherds Bush Green is essential to help fund improvements to the Green, as well as other local parks that residents love and enjoy. "
