2015 proposal for the Walkabout

What's this about?
Dorsett Hospitality International are inviting local residents to a Public Exhibition of revised plans for the ‘Walkabout’ site, next to the new Dorsett Shepherd's Bush Hotel.

Where and when?
The Public Exhibition will be at Dorsett Shepherd's Bush, 58 Shepherd's Bush Green on Tuesday 26th January from 2.00pm to 8.00pm

Who designed the new plans?

The revised proposals have been designed by Flanagan Lawrence Architects who were responsible for the award-winning restoration of the Dorsett Hotel

What are the key points of the new proposals?

· There will be no tower

· The building will be considerably lower at the front and rear than the previous proposal

· Retaining parts of the existing building, mainly the facades

· There will be a cinema in the basement

· The building will be lower at the rear facing Pennard Road

What else is being proposed?
The new building will be an extension to the existing hotel and the ground floor will provide additional hotel restaurant space.  In addition, Dorsett propose to "significantly improve the Rockwood Place environment so that it provides a safe, secure and attractive pedestrian route from Pennard Road to Shepherd’s Bush Green".

Why are Dorsett consulting with the public?
Before submitting a planning application to the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Dorsett are welcoming the comments and thoughts of local residents on the proposals.

Who will be at the exhibition?
Members of Dorsett International’s professional team will be on hand at the Public Exhibition to explain the proposals and to answer questions.
