Hammersmith Bridge Closed 10-18 February

Hammersmith Bridge
According to TFL,  Hammersmith Bridge will be closed to vehicles at times between Saturday 10 February and Sunday 18 February while essential repair works take place.

This latest bridge closure will once again create traffic chaos, forcing drivers over Chiswick Bridge or Putney Bridge instead.

Hammersmith Bridge currently operates under severe weight restrictions, with only one bus in each direction permitted on the bridge at any one time.

Driving
Saturday 10 February to Sunday 18 Febuary 2018

Hammersmith Bridge will be closed in both directions from 8am to 6pm on:
Saturday 10 February
Sunday 11 February
Monday 12 February

Hammersmith Bridge will be closed northbound only from 8am to 6pm on:
Tuesday 13 February
Wednesday 14 February
Thursday 15 February
Friday 16 February

Hammersmith Bridge will close in both directions from 8am Saturday 17 February and re-open as normal from 6pm on Sunday 18 February 2018.

Pedestrian access is not affected. Cyclists will need to dismount and walk across or cycle via Chiswick or Putney Bridge.

Prepare for big traffic delays.  And brace yourself for late 2018 when major structural work - if it goes ahead - will close the bridge for many months to permit the structure to take big lorries and double-decker buses again.
