Albertine - Outside Dining |
Wood Lane needs a bit of cheering up, and it's worth reminding Shepherd's Bush residents that eating out just got a lot cheaper - thanks to Chancellor Sunak's "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme, which gives diners 50% off the usual cost.
So let's give some help to Shepherd's Bush's struggling businesses and spend some money.
Albertine Wine Bar
Allegra McEvedy at the Albertine |
The Albertine is one of Shepherd's Bush's best wine bars, founded and run by celebrity chef Allegra McEvedy, who has been tenaciously fighting to survive the economic consequences of Covid-19 - by re-inventing itself as a take-out and home delivery kitchen and food shop.
BBC Heritage
The Albertine was a favourite BBC watering hole on Wood Lane - and still one of the most civilised places to drink in our neighbourhood. It is also a place that made history - it's where where the very first EastEnders script was written.
The Albertine re-opened in July, and you can book your seat at the official link below:

Other things to note

Other things to note
- Albertine is only open on the ground floor
- No parties over six
- No more than two households, or support bubbles, should mix on a table
- Walk-ins will still be accepted, but we will no longer have tables set aside: the government rules are that folks rocking up without a reservation will have to wait outside to be seated and fill in a form for contact tracing for each guest.
- No cash, only card payments.
