Gardening at St Stephen's Church on Sunday

St Stephen's Church Garden
St Stephen’s Church on the Uxbridge Road is looking for volunteers on Sunday November 14th from 2.30pm to 4pm to help weed and maintain the church garden.

St Stephen's relies entirely on volunteers to help maintain the church and its grounds. It's a family-friendly event, and children are very welcome.

There will be hot chocolate, coffee, tea and biscuits for volunteers.

Got an hour or two spend on Sunday? Perhaps you have green fingers and - like most of us in the Bush - a tiny or even non-existent garden?

Where and when?
Sunday November 14th from 2.30pm to 4pm in St Stephen’s Church and garden.

Gardeners Needed
St Stephen's
Gardening expertise isn't needed; even little children are welcome as they can do simple jobs like weeding.

Equipment
You don't need any kit, though St Stephen's normally asks volunteers who do have their own gloves, trowels etc., to bring them along and, if they bring other tools - to keep an eye on them. For those without tools, the church has a variety of tools that guests can use.

About St Stephen's
St Stephen's is a church with a broad and diverse congregation, reflecting the diversity of our local area. It also has a long history of social activism.

In 1966 the vicar John Asbridge, frustrated by the chronic shortage of local housing, set up the Shepherds Bush Housing Association which continues to house thousands of local people to this day.

On Mondays St Stephen's serves a hot meal to up to 100 homeless people.  To read more about St Stephen's, follow this link.  And to find out more about their roof appeal, see the official website here.
