Your Chance to Vote on Hammersmith Park Playground

Hammersmith Park Playground is getting a makeover, and our Council has decided to let the public decide which design should win.

Now is your chance to vote. Follow this this link to the official LBHF site, and have your say.

There are three designs to choose from, which you can see at the official site and also below.

What's this all about?

Following on from the wider Hammersmith Park consultation that ran earlier in the year, LBHF are  presenting three potential designs for the new playground.

According to LBHF, following public feedback the new designs include "more and different types of swings, more climbing equipment, and a trampoline".

LBHF wants the public to "rate each playground in terms of Play Value, Variety of Play, and Accessibility & Interaction." LBHF have shortlisted the top three designs, and the public vote on these designs can be accessed via the below link.

How long does the consultation run?
The public vote on the playground designs will run for 10 days from Friday 12th October to Monday 22nd October. The reason the consultation period is shorter than normal is so that LBHF "can complete the works before Christmas".

Design 1

Design 1. Not enough swings?
Design 2

Design 2: who can resist a pirate ship?

Design 3

Design 3: lots of swings! Yay!
Given that most of the toddler play equipment was removed from the park back in February, it's good news that the Council is getting on with this.  To me, the most fun design looks like Design 2 - who doesn't like a Pirate Ship?
