Hammersmith Park |
Not to be confused with the Friends of the Japanese Garden at Hammersmith Park, this new organisation has a broad brief to advocate on behalf of local residents and mediate with our Council on new proposals for Hammersmith Park.
The meeting takes place at 6.30pm at Wood Lane Community Centre, 78 White City Close London W12 7DZ. All are welcome.
The new playground is a huge improvement on what was there before and, coupled with the new Japanese lanterns, and the regeneration of TV Centre, has turned Hammersmith Park into a very attractive place to spend time.

Friends of Hammersmith Park
Friends of Hammersmith Park is a new organisation founded by local writer and journalist Virginia Ironside.
Where and when
6.30 pm, Wood Lane Community Centre, 78 White City Close London W12 7DZ
Directions
If coming from White City Station, cross the road and go straight through the arch on the other side (it says “No Thoroughfare”) then bear left slightly until you get to it – it’s at a dead end, a low brick building jutting out. If coming from S Africa Road towards Wood Lane, then turn right just after the army barracks down a little alley and you’ll find it there.

Hammersmith Park
Hammersmith Park is a long-neglected green corner of our neighbourhood that has seen big improvements in recent years. The excellent playground at Hammersmith Park was a very welcome upgrade, which took a long while to come but was worth waiting for.
