Shepherd's Bush Police Station For Sale

Shepherd's Bush Police Station
Shepherd’s Bush Police Station is for sale.

The police station, which occupies an ugly grey building on the Uxbridge Rd, was first scheduled for closure back in 2013.

In 2015 the public counter closed, making it impossible to report a crime in person

The police station finally closed altogether in late 2020.  The building itself dates from the end of WW2, having been demolished in 1941 by the same bomb that took out the spire of St Stephen's Church across the street.

The nearest local police station is now in Hammersmith, but the closure of police stations begs the question - do we need them anymore? If we cannot report a crime in person, can we do so online? And, for much crime - such as the routine theft of bicycles, scooters and motorbikes - is it even worth the bother anymore?
