The Old Laundry yard is one of the most under-utilised sites in our neighbourhood, so it's good news to see it play host to our Borough's annual arts festival.
Come along on Saturday and help open the festival. The organisers are promising "a fun filled afternoon" to which families and children are very welcome.

The events takes place at the Old Laundry Yard, located just behind Shepherd's Bush Market, and is hosted by HFArtsFest. On Saturday guests are invited to "explore the latest eco-friendly technology with hands-on workshops", including "art workshop with Hanna from Studio Hache - building Hammersmith from paper".
You can also "discover hidden histories about Shepherd's Bush with Buzz from the Bush", "immerse yourself in local storytelling with students from the Royal College of Art", and even learn some circus skills at a circus workshop.
Open Cell resident artists and scientists will give workshops and info on making bio materials such as bioplastics.
Good Ambition and Terra Hale (a "sustainable" gym based in Shepherd's Bush Market) are hosting an art exhibition/workshop on sustainable fashion and lifestyle choices.
Food and Drink
Local wine bar Albertine will provide drinks, and Bear's Ice Cream will have their eco friendly ice cream bike on site.
